David Trujillo was raised in Truth or Consequences, NM. Registered Civil and Structural Engineer in NM. US Army Aviator (Helicopter Pilot) Veteran of Vietnam and Desert Storm, and Dustoff pilot for the New Mexico National Guard. Worked for Boyle Engineering at Inn of the Mountain gods, near Ruidoso. Engineer for the Santa Fe National Forest, including the design of the structures at Guadalupe Box (Gilman, 1980) in the Jemez district of the Santa Fe National Forest. Retired from LANL in 2008 (28 years). Worked as a Structural Engineer, Gadget Engineer (including Russian Topaz Space Reactor), Weapon Engineer and Weapon Manager (W80 and B61) while at LANL. Started Scrap Metal Art in 2009, with Mentor Richard Swensen, sixth year with the Contemporary Hispanic Market in Santa Fe, winner of best Sculpture in 2014. Second year on the Los Alamos Studio Tour. Formally with Karen Wray Gallery in Los Alamos.
